"Sinesio Canseco has spent a lifetime in the grocery business. At 16, he got his first job: bagging groceries at the Winn-Dixie store on Metairie Road. He spent 23 years working his way up in the company before opening his own store down the street. He threw open the doors to Canseco's Metairie Market, 1519 Metairie Road in April 2005 and saw business spurred along post-storm by returning residents eager for fresh groceries and prepared foods."

Canseco’s is a Louisiana local business that came into existence on February 2005. Sinesio Canseco is the owner of this organization, which consists of three stores at the moment. The first store opened on Metairie Road in 2005, followed by Canseco's Esplanade Market, which started business in 2007, and in 2009 Canseco's Elysian Fields Market opened its doors. Canseco's is a family owned and operated business and as such its objective is to give customers a friendly and familiar service. Canseco's Markets serve hot lunch every day and also offer catering service, fresh produce and sushi, and a large variety of grocery items and wines.
